Oil burner nozzles
The nozzle sprays oil into fine droplets so that it mixes with air and burns properly. Over time it wears or clogs, which is why it is usually replaced at the burner’s annual service.
Every nozzle is defined by three figures stamped on it: the flow rate in GPH (gallons per hour), the spray angle and the spray pattern (e.g. S, solid). The flow rate determines the burner’s output. Fit the same nozzle as the old one, or the one specified by the burner manufacturer; final adjustment is done by measuring the flue gases.
