Hot Water Cylinders

When the tank of a solar water heater starts leaking or reaches the end of its life, the collectors are often still in good shape and only the cylinder needs replacing. This category offers Mastersol solar water heater tanks, from our own brand, in dual and triple energy versions, as well as tanks for solar water heaters that connect to a heat pump. You will also find dual energy electric cylinders for indoor installation, combining an electric element with a heat exchanger that connects to central heating. Glass models have a vitreous enamel lining that protects the tank against corrosion.

How to choose

• Compatibility: for a replacement, check volume, tank length, connection positions and stand, so the new cylinder fits your collectors.
• Volume: the same as the old tank, or larger if your needs have changed, in which case you may also need more collector area.
• Dual or triple energy: with a boiler or heat pump at home, a triple energy tank uses your heating on days without sun.
• Electric cylinders: installed indoors where there is no solar heater, or as a supplement; measure the space and make sure the wall can carry the weight of a full tank.
• Maintenance: the magnesium anode needs regular checks, especially with hard water.
