Electric Double Energy Boilers
A dual-energy electric water heater has a second way to heat water: as well as the electric element, it has a heat exchanger connected to the central heating. In winter, while the boiler or heat pump is running, the water heats up without switching on the element; in summer, or when the heating is off, electricity takes over.
The Mastersol models have a glass-lined (enamelled) tank and suit a bathroom or a small home. They are a common choice in flats without a solar water heater.
