Black iron pipe, without galvanising, is used mainly for central heating pipework and boiler rooms, where water circulates in a closed circuit. Fittings connect by thread and are sealed with hemp and paste or with tape.
In the subcategories you will find nipples, for joining two female fittings, and tees for branches. Sizes are given in inches and must match the pipe. These fittings are not suitable for drinking water networks.
