At the front there is a 0–120 °C thermometer and a cleaning and inspection flange. The flange is used for the regular cleaning of scale and sediment from the tank.

Description
Hot water, kept hot for hours.
The Mastersol BLS is a vertical hot water cylinder with one fixed heat exchanger (coil). It is double energy: the water is heated by the heat exchanger, connected for example to the central heating boiler, and by an electric heating element, fitted as an option.
Inside, it is protected from corrosion by Direct Glass liquid enamel, fired at 850 °C, 400 microns thick, made of inorganic silicates without chemical additives (DIN 4753 Teil 3 & 6). The glass bonds fully to the steel and follows its expansion and contraction. It is built to DIN 4753 and EN 12897.
It stands upright and has ports for recirculation and for an immersion thermometer, a cleaning flange and a magnesium anode. The insulation is 50 mm polyurethane with a leatherette cover: rigid up to 500 litres, soft from 750 litres. It has a 0–120 °C thermometer and a steel base on a pallet, with three-point support up to 1,000 litres. It is meant for homes and businesses, from 150 to 2,000 litres.

Insulation with a leatherette cover
The 50 mm polyurethane insulation is covered by a leatherette jacket that closes with a zip.
Labelled connections
Each port has a label with its use and size, e.g. "Hot water outlet 3/4″". The plumber sees at once what connects where.
Connection diagram
The manufacturer supplies the diagram for connecting to the boiler: heating flow and return to the coil, cold and hot water with a safety valve and an expansion vessel.

According to the manufacturer's instructions, the warranty requires installation as shown in the diagrams, water within drinking water limits and regular checks of the anode. The magnesium anode is a consumable and is not covered.

- RoomIn a closed room protected from frost, with a floor drain for any leaks, as the manufacturer's instructions require.
- DimensionsThe height and diameter of each size are in the model comparison.
- Pressure and safetyAn 8 atm safety valve and a 6 atm pressure reducer go on the cold water inlet, to protect against high mains pressure. It also needs an earth connection and an expansion vessel in the hot water circuit. Otherwise, according to the manufacturer, the cylinder is no longer under warranty. The maximum working pressure of each size is in the comparison.

That the water is heated in two ways: by the heat exchanger, connected for example to the boiler, and by an electric heating element, fitted on request. If you also want to connect solar collectors, you need a triple-energy cylinder with two heat exchangers.
Is the electric heating element included?
The electric heating element is optional and fitted on request. You will find it in the product options.

Which size do I need?
It depends on how much hot water you use and on the heat source. The comparison also shows the heat exchanger surface of each size. Call us and we will work it out together.
What servicing does it need?
The magnesium anode is checked at least twice a year and replaced when it is used up. In suitable water it lasts about 2 years, but it may need replacing after 6 months. Cleaning is done through the flange, without chemicals.
What warranty does it have?
7 years. It requires installation following the manufacturer's instructions, water within drinking water limits and regular checks of the magnesium anode, which is a consumable and is not covered.
How is it delivered?
