Description

Hot water, kept hot for hours.

The Mastersol BL1 is a vertical hot water cylinder with one permanent heat exchanger: a coil of 1″ steel pipe, enamelled. It is double energy: the water is heated by the heat exchanger, connected for example to the central heating boiler, and by a 4 kW electric heating element, on request.

Inside, it is protected from corrosion by Direct Glass liquid enamel, fired at 850 °C, 400 microns thick, made of inorganic silicates without chemical additives (DIN 4753 Teil 3 & 6). The glass bonds fully to the steel and follows its expansion and contraction. It is built to DIN 4753 and EN 12897.

It stands upright and has ports for recirculation and for an immersion thermometer, a cleaning flange and a magnesium anode. The insulation is 55 mm polyurethane, 52 kg/m³, injected by an automatic machine; on the 750 and 1,000 litre models it is removable soft polyurethane, 100 mm. The outer jacket is soft PVC, in a colour of your choice. It is meant for homes and businesses, from 150 to 1,000 litres.

According to the manufacturer's instructions, the warranty requires installation as shown in the diagrams, water within drinking water limits and regular checks of the anode. The magnesium anode is a consumable and is not covered.

What does "double energy" mean?

That the water is heated in two ways: by the heat exchanger, connected for example to the boiler, and by a 4 kW electric heating element, fitted on request. If you also want to connect solar collectors, you need a triple-energy cylinder with two heat exchangers.

Is the electric heating element included?

The 4 kW electric heating element is optional and fitted on request. You will find it in the product options.

Will it fit in my room?

Which size do I need?

It depends on how much hot water you use and on the heat source. The comparison also shows the heat exchanger surface of each size. Call us and we will work it out together.

What servicing does it need?

The magnesium anode is checked at least twice a year and replaced when it is used up. In suitable water it lasts about 2 years, but it may need replacing after 6 months. Cleaning is done through the flange, without chemicals.

What warranty does it have?

7 years, according to the manufacturer. It requires installation following the manufacturer's instructions, water within drinking water limits and regular checks of the magnesium anode, which is a consumable and is not covered.

How is it delivered?

Collect it from our shop in Patras, or we send it by carrier. The shipping cost shows in the cart; if it does not show for your area or size, call us for the delivery cost. A plumber installs it; we can suggest a partner in your area.

Complete the installation

The heat source: a Werstahl boiler.

The cylinder's heat exchanger connects to the central heating boiler. Werstahl Hercules HS biomass boilers come from the same company.
