Description

Horizontal, for large volumes of water.

The Mastersol BLHi0 is a horizontal hot water cylinder without a heat exchanger. It has no coil; it takes a 4 kW electric heating element, on request.

It is made entirely of stainless steel, inox 316L. It also has a magnesium anode.

It is installed horizontally and has ports for recirculation and for an immersion thermometer, a cleaning flange and a magnesium anode. The insulation is removable soft polyurethane, 100 mm thick, with a soft PVC jacket. It is meant for homes and businesses, from 1,500 to 9,000 litres.

According to the manufacturer's instructions, the warranty requires installation as shown in the diagrams, water within drinking water limits and regular checks of the anode. The magnesium anode is a consumable and is not covered.

  • RoomIn a closed room protected from frost, with a floor drain for any leaks, as the manufacturer's instructions require.
  • Pressure and safetyA safety valve is mandatory, according to the manufacturer's instructions. The maximum working pressure of each size is in the comparison.
  • WaterThe mains water must be within drinking water limits; otherwise, according to the manufacturer, the cylinder is no longer under warranty.
  • ServiceThe magnesium anode is checked at least twice a year and replaced when it is used up. In suitable water it lasts about 2 years, but it may need replacing after 6 months. Cleaning is done through the flange, without chemicals.

How is a cylinder without a heat exchanger heated?

It has no coil for a boiler or a solar system. It takes a 4 kW electric heating element, on request. For how it fits into your own installation, ask your plumber or us.

Is the electric heating element included?

The 4 kW electric heating element is optional and fitted on request. You will find it in the product options.
