Description
A small part, more protection for your solar heater.
The Mastersol FS1 is a 1-litre closed expansion vessel for the closed circuit of a solar water heater. At the bottom it has a thread to connect to the solar heater's cylinder, and on top a port for a 2.5 bar safety valve.
With the vessel, the closed circuit loses less heat-transfer fluid and the water heater runs more efficiently. The risk of collector damage in the winter months drops, and the safety valves are protected from thermal expansion.
Mastersol gives a 10-year warranty on the cylinder of its solar water heaters, instead of 5, when an overheat valve (94°C / 6 bar), a 10 bar closed expansion vessel and a closed-circuit expansion vessel are added, with a service every year.

Where does it connect?
On the closed circuit of the solar water heater: the thread at the bottom screws into the solar heater's cylinder. On top it has a port for a 2.5 bar safety valve.

How does it relate to the solar heater warranty?
Under Mastersol's terms, the cylinder warranty becomes 10 years, instead of 5, with the additional purchase of an overheat valve (94°C / 6 bar), a 10 bar closed expansion vessel and a closed-circuit expansion vessel, and with a service every year. The FS1 is a closed-circuit expansion vessel.
