Without Heat Exchanger
A vertical cylinder without a heat exchanger has no coil inside the tank. The water is heated by an electric element or arrives already hot from another appliance, such as a plate heat exchanger, a domestic hot water heat pump or a second cylinder. The tank is enamelled inside and insulated.
It is useful as additional storage next to an existing cylinder when hot water needs have grown, or as a simple large-capacity electric cylinder in buildings without central heating.
