With Two Heat Exchangers
Vertical cylinders with two removable heat exchangers are the core of large solar hot water systems. The lower heat exchanger usually takes the solar field and the upper one the boiler or heat pump, which heats the top of the tank only as much as needed. With the electric immersion heater, there are three sources.
As both coils come out through a flange, cleaning and replacing them does not mean replacing the tank. They suit hotels, clinics and industrial premises.
