Description
The solar water heater you control from your phone.
The Mastersol Plus combines collectors with a one-piece pressed aluminium casing with control from your phone over Wi-Fi. The casing has no joints or seams, for better sealing, corrosion resistance and lower heat losses. Plus collectors have a 25-year warranty.
From the app on your phone, on iOS and Android, you switch the system on and off, set temperature and schedules and get alerts. A home Wi-Fi network is needed; features may vary with the app version.
The collector and the jacket run on a closed circuit with antifreeze, for frost resistance down to −47°C. The tank has Bayer Double Duro Glass enamel, a magnesium anode, 5cm of polyurethane insulation and a 3.5kw electric element.
It is dual energy: the sun heats the water and, when needed, the 3.5kw electric element.
The range has eight models, from 120 litres with 2 m² to 300 litres with 5 m². It also comes in triple energy, for a connection to central heating.
Mastersol solar water heaters carry an A+ energy label and are CE and Solar Keymark certified.

One-piece pressed casing
The back and sides of the collector are one piece of pressed aluminium, with no joints or seams. That gives better sealing, corrosion resistance and lower heat losses.
Copper risers
The selective aluminium-titanium absorber covers the whole surface, on Ø22 & Ø8 copper risers that come out of the casing for the connection. 4cm of rock wool insulation.
3.2mm tempered glass
The safety glass stands up to hail and heavy rain. The circuit runs on antifreeze, for frost resistance down to −47°C.
Tank with heat-exchange jacket
2.5 or 3.0mm European steel depending on the model, Bayer Double Duro Glass enamel, a magnesium anode and 5cm of polyurethane insulation. A 3.5kw electric element.
Closed circuit with antifreeze
The collector and the jacket are filled with antifreeze, so the system withstands frost down to −47°C. On top of the tank are the fill and vent points of the circuit and the seat of its safety valve (1.5-3 bar).

The extension kit is an overheat valve (94°C / 6 bar), a 10 bar closed expansion vessel and an expansion vessel for the closed circuit. The warranty covers parts, not labour or transport, and does not cover the collector glass.
The system must be installed by a licensed plumber. The warranty form is filled in, signed and emailed to Mastersol (info@mastersol.gr), together with proof of each service.

- FrameFor a flat or a tiled roof: you choose the frame in the product options. Collectors (height × width): 1 collector, 2.0 × 1.0 m.
- Wi-FiYou need a home Wi-Fi network and a compatible phone (iOS or Android).
- PlumbingHeavy-duty brass connections. You choose the assembly materials, with polyethylene or stainless steel pipe, when you order.
- ElectricsElectric element 3.5kw (Ø140 flange, 8 holes). Electrical parts have a 1-year warranty.
- InstallationBy a licensed plumber, with a service receipt. It is a condition of the warranty.
- ServicingEvery 2 years, replace the magnesium anode rod and the safety valves; every year for the 10-year warranty. Every year, check and top up the antifreeze.

Mastersol sizes its systems for a normal use of 40 litres of hot water at 40°C per person. As a guide: 1 person, 100 litres with 1.5 m² anywhere in Greece. 2 people, 120 litres with 2.0 m² (1.5 m² is enough in southern Greece). 3 people, 120 litres with 2.0 m², or 160 litres with 2.0 m² in northern Greece. 4 people, 160 litres with 2.5 m² (2.0 m² in the south). 5 people, 200 litres with 3 m², or 4 m² in northern Greece. If you are not sure, call us.
What can I do over Wi-Fi?
From the app on your phone you switch the system on and off remotely, set temperature and schedules and get alerts. You need a home Wi-Fi network and an iOS or Android phone; features may vary with the app version.
Does the 25-year warranty cover the cylinder too?
No. The 25 years apply to the Plus collectors. The cylinder has 5 years, serviced every 2 years, or 10 years with the extension kit (94°C / 6 bar overheat valve, 10 bar closed expansion vessel, closed-circuit expansion vessel) and a yearly service. Electrical parts have 1 year.
What does dual energy mean?
That the water is heated in two ways: by the sun and, when needed, by the 3.5kw electric element. If you want your heating boiler to heat it too, there are triple-energy models.
Does it withstand frost?
Yes. It runs on a closed circuit with antifreeze and withstands temperatures down to −47°C. The antifreeze is checked and topped up every year, depending on the area.
Can it go on a flat roof and on a tiled roof?
Yes. The mounting frame comes in a flat-roof and a tiled-roof version; you choose it in the product options.
What servicing does it need?
Every 2 years the magnesium anode rod and the safety valves are replaced, or every year for the 10-year warranty. Every year the antifreeze is checked and topped up. The technician signs the warranty form and gives you a service receipt.
How are delivery and installation done?
The solar water heater ships by carrier throughout Greece; you see the shipping options and cost in the cart. A licensed plumber installs it, which is also a condition of the warranty; we can suggest a partner in your area.
