Oil Heating
Oil heating remains a practical choice where a tank and a boiler room are already in place: it runs automatically on a thermostat and timer and needs no daily attention. Here you will find oil boilers such as the cast-iron Werstahl MT from our own brand, condensing boilers, Werstahl AT packaged units in which the boiler and an ELCO burner come as one set, and Hansa oil burners for new installations or for replacing an old burner.
How to choose
- New boiler or just a new burner: if the boiler is in good condition, a new, properly adjusted burner improves combustion. If it is old or leaking, replacing the whole set is usually the more sensible option.
- Packaged unit: the boiler and burner arrive as a matched set, so you do not have to pair two separate products yourself.
- Condensing: a condensing boiler also uses the heat in the water vapour of the flue gases, so it burns less oil. It does need a flue suitable for condensate and a connection to the drain.
- Output: the boiler should cover the building's heat loss, and the burner should match the boiler's output. An oversized boiler switches on and off often and uses more fuel.
- Operating conditions: in cold boiler rooms, burners with oil preheating make ignition easier and keep combustion stable.
Every oil installation needs annual servicing and a flue gas check to run economically. At Climaventis we help you choose a boiler or burner for your building, and you will find burner spare parts under installation parts.
