Description
The same ECO, with the collector laid horizontally.
The Mastersol ECO Horizontal has its collector laid horizontally. The system is therefore lower and wider, while the collector output stays the same. It suits terraces with low parapets, tight spaces and places where you want a low profile.
The collector and the jacket are filled with antifreeze, so the system withstands frost down to −47°C. The tank is made of 2.5mm European steel, with Bayer Double Duro Glass enamel, a magnesium anode and polyurethane insulation.
The collector has a full-plate selective aluminium-titanium absorber, copper risers and 3.2mm tempered safety glass that stands up to hail and heavy rain.
It is triple energy: besides the sun and the 3.5kw electric element, it connects to your central heating, so the water is also heated by the boiler.
The range has six single-collector models, from 120 litres with 1.5 m² to 200 litres with 2.75 m². It also comes in dual energy, with sun and electricity only.
Mastersol solar water heaters carry an A+ energy label and are CE and Solar Keymark certified.

Double Duro Glass tank
2.5mm European steel with Bayer Double Duro Glass enamel fired at 830°C, a 0.5mm electrostatically painted steel casing, a magnesium anode and a 3.5kw electric element.
Solar Keymark certified
The collector carries a Solar Keymark plate with a serial number. The selective aluminium-titanium absorber covers the whole surface, on Ø22 & Ø8 copper risers, and the 3.2mm tempered glass stands up to hail and heavy rain.
One-piece aluminium frame
A one-piece aluminium frame with a 1.25mm profile, a 0.5mm galvanised steel back and double 4cm mineral wool insulation. 100% neutral silicone.
Closed circuit with antifreeze
The collector and the jacket are filled with antifreeze, so the system withstands frost down to −47°C. On top of the tank are the fill and vent points of the circuit and the seat of its safety valve (1.5-3 bar).
Made in Greece
Mastersol solar water heaters are made in Greece. The heavy-duty brass connections are marked on the tank: hot water outlet and the connection to the collectors.

The extension kit is an overheat valve (94°C / 6 bar), a 10 bar closed expansion vessel and an expansion vessel for the closed circuit. The warranty covers parts, not labour or transport, and does not cover the collector glass.
The system must be installed by a licensed plumber. The warranty form is filled in, signed and emailed to Mastersol (info@mastersol.gr), together with proof of each service.

- FrameFor a flat or a tiled roof: you choose the frame in the product options. Collector (height × width): 1 collector, 1.0 × 2.0 m.
- PlumbingHeavy-duty brass connections. Maximum working pressure: tank 10bar, jacket 3.2bar; maximum temperature 95°C. You choose the assembly materials, with polyethylene or stainless steel pipe, when you order. The plumber connects it to the central heating.
- ElectricsElectric element 3.5kw (Ø140 flange, 8 holes). Electrical parts have a 1-year warranty.
- InstallationBy a licensed plumber, with a service receipt. It is a condition of the warranty.
- ServicingEvery 2 years, replace the magnesium anode rod and the safety valves; every year for the 10-year warranty. Every year, check and top up the antifreeze.
- SummerMastersol recommends covering half of the collector area in summer, and all of it when you are away for more than 3 days.

Mastersol sizes its systems for a normal use of 40 litres of hot water at 40°C per person. As a guide: 1 person, 100 litres with 1.5 m² anywhere in Greece. 2 people, 120 litres with 2.0 m² (1.5 m² is enough in southern Greece). 3 people, 120 litres with 2.0 m², or 160 litres with 2.0 m² in northern Greece. 4 people, 160 litres with 2.5 m² (2.0 m² in the south). 5 people, 200 litres with 3 m², or 4 m² in northern Greece. If you are not sure, call us.
How is it different from the ECO?
The collector layout: on the Horizontal the collector is laid horizontally, so the system is lower and wider. The collector output stays the same and Mastersol gives the same factory warranty as the ECO.
What does triple energy mean?
That the water is heated in three ways: by the sun, by the 3.5kw electric element and by your central heating, which the solar heater connects to. The plumber makes the connection.
Does it withstand frost?
Yes. It runs on a closed circuit with antifreeze and withstands temperatures down to −47°C. The antifreeze is checked and topped up every year, depending on the area.
Can it go on a flat roof and on a tiled roof?
Yes. The mounting frame comes in a flat-roof and a tiled-roof version; you choose it in the product options.
What warranty does it have?
5 years on the cylinder, serviced every 2 years. 10 years if you also fit an overheat valve (94°C / 6 bar), a 10 bar closed expansion vessel and a closed-circuit expansion vessel, with a yearly service. 15 years on the collectors and 1 year on the electrical parts. The warranty covers parts, not labour or transport.
What servicing does it need?
Every 2 years the magnesium anode rod and the safety valves are replaced, or every year for the 10-year warranty. Every year the antifreeze is checked and topped up. The technician signs the warranty form and gives you a service receipt.
How are delivery and installation done?
The solar water heater ships by carrier throughout Greece; you see the shipping options and cost in the cart. A licensed plumber installs it, which is also a condition of the warranty; we can suggest a partner in your area.
